Nineteenth Meeting held on January 11, 2010

In the nineteenth meeting of India Rejuvenation Initiative (IRI) held on January 11, 2010, the following decisions were taken:

§         IRI would issue a Public Appeal in the form of an advertisement in ‘The Indian Express’ and ‘Amar Ujala’ focusing on twin issues of ‘corruption at the top’ and ‘Recovery of India’s Stolen Assets from Foreign countries’.

§         IRI will vigorously pursue the PIL filed in the Supreme Court on the issue of Recovery of India’s Stolen Assets from Foreign Countries.

§         IRI will also file the PIL on Withdrawal of Bofors case at the earliest.

§         IRI will also take steps to bring out an e-newspaper.

§         IRI will write to the Enforcement Directorate and Intelligence Bureau demanding a proper probe into the activities of Mr. Jagdish Gandhi.
